while someone else is enjoying my Decemberists ticket, I blog. mostly because blogging is what I do.
yesterday I went to a wedding. most of the time, weddings are held on a Saturday, and I now understand why: the reception barely got going before the lid was put on the par-tay. and while there weren't any females that were interested in talking to me outside of Sara, who is engaged, I still had my fun via mingling and dancing, aided by the several or more drinks I consumed. there are many pictures, but they'll stay safely out of reach of the intraweb.
today I went into the workplace and found out that my company plans to not only eliminate 30 stores but also possibly
shutter the entire chain in a liquidation auction. so we'll see how that all works out. all the negative press lately has created somewhat of a ghost town in my store which is sad, because I hate to see a company I've invested so much time in just tank the way it has.
in other loosely-work-related news, I witnessed a truly awesome
car fire close to my workplace. 'twas badass, because as I was relaying the scene to someone from my phone, a tire exploded and got the car going even more. I laugh about it, but I'm sure the poor bastard who owns the car ain't laughing.
and as a last tidbit of infotainment tonight, I ordered yet more movies from the Netflix on Friday. and I got them today. big ups to the Netflix Bloomington DC on that one. the only problem? instead of getting 'All I Want' and the first season of 'Punk'd' (you
must know why) I got the first season of 'Aquateen Hunger Force', which does NOT get big ups from me, and 'Death to Smoochy'. two titles that were in my queue, but were nowhere near the top. go figure. I guess I'm waiting till at least Tuesday for my Mandy fix.
